2023 PMN Citizen Science

The Taxon of the Month program was designed by the PA Master Naturalist volunteer Citizen Science team to engage PMN volunteers across the state in making observations of various taxa throughout the year. Making and uploading observations to iNaturalist does count as service time for PMN volunteers. In order to count as service, volunteers must:

  • Be a current Pennsylvania Master Naturalist trainee or volunteer
  • Become familiar with iNaturalist
  • Join the PMN iNaturalist project by clicking ‘Join this project’ on the project page
  • Tag the PMN iNaturalist project in observations
  • Record time observing and uploading the observations as service using Pennsylvania Master Naturalist as the service partner
